Podgorica edged out Sloboda in final quarter

Thanks to their excellent performance late in the game, Podgorica have prevailed over Sloboda iz Wai Tai Sports Hall, Zlatibor.

In the opening game of the Wednesday’s ABA League 2 schedule, Podgorica have prevailed over Sloboda in a clash, that could have gone either way as far as majority of the encounter is concerned. At the beginning of 33rd minute, the margin between the two sides was still only a point (45:46), but then over the next 2 minutes, Podgorica came up with a 7:1 run and pulled away to the score of 46:53. Sloboda did not manage to bounce back after this blow anymore until the end of the game.

The final score was 51:63 in favour of Podgorica.

This is the 6th win of the season for Podgorica and both squads now continue their ABA League 2 season with a 6:5 record after 11 games played and are still involved in the battle for the Playoffs.
