Kansai Helios made a stunning 4th quarter comeback to beat Sloboda Tuzla in a thrilling finish.

Kansai Helios opened the 2025/26 ABA League 2 season in dramatic fashion, producing a remarkable fourth-quarter comeback to edge out Sloboda Tuzla – 82:80 – in Domžale.
The home team struggled for most of the night, trailing for the majority of the game. At halftime, Kansai Helios were down by a single point (35:36), but things got even tougher in the third quarter when they allowed 31 points and fell behind by 13 – 54:67.
However, the Domžale side refused to give up. With impressive energy and determination, Kansai Helios started erasing the deficit minute by minute in the final period. Their persistence paid off in the closing moments, as Alen Malovčić hit a crucial two-pointer to put the hosts in front with just 30 seconds left on the clock – 81:80.
In the final seconds, Malovčić was fouled and made one of two free throws to extend the lead to 82:80. On the other end, Sani Čampara had a chance to force overtime for Sloboda Tuzla, but his shot missed the mark, allowing Kansai Helios to celebrate a memorable victory in front of their home fans.
