Spartak Office Shoes have made another major step forward in the race for the 1st place in the regular season as they defeated MZT Skopje Aerodrom in derby match of Round 7.
The boys from Subotica were very good offensively in this match, while they gained key lead in the 3rd quarter in which they scored 27 points and increased the gap to 14 points – 69:55.
MZT Skopje Aerodrom gave their best in the final quarter to pull off a sensational comeback and they had a chance to actually come very close to their rivals. However, at the score of 80:72 and with 3 minutes left on the game clock, MZT Skopje Aerodrom failed to score in two consecutive offensive plays.
Spartak Office Shoes have therefore rejoined Široki TT Kabeli and Zlatibor Gold Gondola at the top of the table as all three teams now have the overall score of 6-1. On the other side, MZT Skopje Aerodrom dropped to the 5th place with this defeat as they currently have the overall score of 4-3.
