KK Gorica, Velika Gorica


Gorica Basketball Club was founded in 1969, named Gorički omladinski košarkaški klub. Supported by the Velika Gorica Fire department, the club has been established by Nikola and Juraj Hrvačić, Stjepan Črnjak, Zlatko Božić and Zoran Galeković. A year later in 1970, the club became a member of Sporting Society Radnik and the club has been renamed to Radnik Basketball club. In 1992, the club was renamed to Basketball Club Media and in 1997 into Gorica.

Glory Days

The club has achieved its most successful moments over the past couple of years. In 2017, it entered the Croatian Premier League and in the 2018/19 season, it reached the Playoffs of the Croatian National Championship and the Semi-finals of the Cup competition. In the 2019/20, they have finished fourth in the Croatian National Championship and a year later, they have entered the ABA League 2 for the first time.
