KK Cedevita Junior, Zagreb
Beginnings
KK Cedevita Junior was founded in 2019 following the alignment between KK Petrol Olimpija and KK Cedevita. Having to work their way up the ranks of the Croatian basketball system, Cedevita Junior spent their first two seasons in the second division of Croatian basketball, it wasn't until their second season as a club that they gained promotion and joined the elite ranks of the nation after they won the second league in 2021. During the 2021/2022 season, they made their debut in the top flight of Croatian basketball where they finished the season placed fourth.Glory Days
In the two seasons being in the top flight in Croatia, Cedevita Junior has made the Krešimir Ćosić Cup finals in back-to-back years, and in 2023 made it to the semifinals of the Croatian league playoffs. In 2022 they completed an unexpected upset in the National Cup against favorites Split in the semifinals but were ultimately defeated in the finals against Cibona. The following season they made the Cup finals for a second season in a row, this time they were led by Croatian legend Kruno Simon who played a key role as a mentor to young players and brought his qualities to the court. In the same season, they made the semifinals of the Croatian League playoffs for the first time in club history.Club Information
