Vojvodina mts seize a 5-point margin win on the road in Nikšić

Vojvodina mts will have a 5-point advantage ahead of the 2nd leg of this quarter-finals series as this evening they triumphed against Sutjeska Elektroprivreda on the road by 89:84.
Almost 3,000 fans came tonight to Nikšić Sports Center to help the home team in the match against one of the main favorites for winning the championship and the blue-and-white fans created indeed a great atmopshere inside the hall.
Carried with the noise coming from the stands, Sutjeska Elektroprivreda made a good start as they spent most of the 1st half in front of their rivals, however right in the middle of the 2nd quarter Vojvodina mts have taken over the control over the game. The Novi Sad troops made a 14:0 run in those moments to gain a 9-point lead – 43:34.
Vojvodina mts have stayed in front until the end, mostly thanks to outstanding performance of their guard Jared Cunningham who scored 25 points tonight. The visitors have even increased the gap to 15 points at one moment, but Sutjeska Elektroprivreda pulled off a late comeback and reduced the margin to just 5 points ahead of the rematch that is scheduled for next week.
The 2nd leg of this quarter-finals series will be played in Novi Sad, on Wednesday April 17.
