Široki TT Kabeli put together a terrific second-half performance to get their 4th win after 5 rounds of the 2023/24 NLB ABA League 2 season against Cedevita Junior.
Cedevita Junior had a fantastic start to the game, they were the better team in the opening quarter. Late in the opening period, Damir Mulaomerović's squad held a 12:24 lead, in the final minute and a half of the quarter Široki TT Kabeli hit three shots from downtown to cut the Cedevita Junior lead to just 21:26. In the second quarter Široki TT Kabeli would continue cutting into the Cedevita Junior lead, heading to the locker room all tied up at 38.
Široki TT Kabeli took over in the second half, and throughout the third quarter, they continued to build their lead. Cedevita Junior struggled in the paint, allowing 44 points in the paint and 13 offensive rebounds which led to 18 second-chance points. Mateo Čolak had a big performance tonight in the winning effort, he finished the game with a double-double scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for a 34 valuation. Renato Serdarušić was the top performer for Cedevita Junior scoring 18 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.
