Široki TT Kabeli has kept their playoff hopes alive after they got the important home win against Ilirija and their first win of the Top 8 phase.

Ilirija had a great start to the game; they were firing on all cylinders and scored 32 points in the opening ten minutes to hold an 11-point advantage after the first quarter. Široki TT Kabeli had to claw their way back into the game, and by the halftime break, they cut the deficit to 4. The start of the fourth quarter was crucial for Široki TT Kabeli tonight; they were determined to get the win, and the fight they put up in the final quarter showed it. Široki TT Kabeli opened the final quarter with a 16:0 run to take a 14-point lead with just over 6 minutes remaining in the game. This was just too big of a deficit and too little time for Ilirija to try and mount their comeback, but they did manage to cut the final deficit to -4 and hold on to the better head-to-head advantage with Široki. 

Jan Rebec was stellar tonight for Široki TT Kabeli, he filled up the stat sheet with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists in the win. Kur Malith Jockuch was the top performer for Ilirija, he scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
