Zlatibor Mozzart continued their perfect group E run and secured a spot in the 2025 NLB ABA League 2 playoffs after they managed to pull out a home win against 2023 finalists Kansai Helios.
It was a tight game between these two squads tonight. Zlatibor Mozzart didn't pull away with the lead until the final quarter, where they went on a crucial 9:2 run to take a 91:83 lead with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game. This run put the pressure on Kansai Helios in the final stretch, and they couldn't overcome the deficit they found themselves in with so little time remaining in the game.
Malcom Bernard was stellar tonight for Zlatibor Mozzart, flirting with a triple-double Bernard finished the game with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Jure Špan put on a strong scoring performance tonight for Kansai Helios, he dropped a game-high 26 points while dishing out 3 assists.
