LaQuinton Ross scores 31 as Zlatibor beat Vojvodina

Zlatibor have defeated Vojvodina in a truly amazing game played in the opening round of the new season.
Both sides had some periods of the game in which they dominated the court. Zlatibor gained an early 15-point lead – 27:12, while then Vojvodina responed by making a 17:2 run to tie the score at 29:29.
The Novi Sad crew continued with excellent performance in the 3rd quarter in which they escaped on a double-digit lead – 57:47. However, then it was time for the Zlatibor’s last and decisive run. The hosts of the first regular season tournament put on a real show in the 4th quarter in which they scored 32 points to perform a major comeback and seize the precious win.
Zlatibor’s summer signing LaQuinton Ross was leading the home side troops toward the win with 31 points and 11 rebounds, while it is important to mention that Ross had an index rating of 43 in his ABA League 2 debut! That is the 5th best single-game score ever recorded in ABA League 2.
Dušan Kutlešić was also a very important player for Zlatibor this evening as he finished the match with 19 points and 8 assists, while on the other side Vojvodina’s two best players in this match were Petar Rakićević and Nickolas Neal who scored 17 points each.
