Beginnings

BEGINNINGS  KK Triglav Kranj traces its roots back to 1950, when a basketball section was established within TVD Partizan Kranj, marking the beginning of organized basketball in the city. As basketball gained popularity throughout Yugoslavia, particularly among younger generations, the club gradually developed into one of the important basketball centres in the Gorenjska region. From its early years, Triglav placed great emphasis on youth development, attracting numerous young players and establishing a strong basketball tradition. The club's commitment to nurturing local talent helped build a solid foundation for future success, both at youth and senior levels. Over the decades, Triglav became widely recognized for its basketball school and its contribution to Slovenian basketball. 

Glory Days

GLORY DAYS  One of the greatest achievements in the club's history came in the 1989/90 season, when KK Triglav Kranj won the Republic Championship and competed in the Yugoslav 1.B Federal League. This success marked an important milestone and established Triglav among the notable Slovenian basketball clubs of that era. In more recent years, Triglav has continued competing at the highest levels of Slovenian basketball. Alongside its senior team's achievements, the club remains dedicated to developing young talent, consistently producing players for Slovenia's national teams and maintaining competitive youth teams that regularly contend for medals in national championships.
