ABA League 2 competition system amended for the 2026/27 season

Following a renewed review of the sporting, organizational and competition-related circumstances arising from the withdrawal of Basketball Club Skopje from the ABA League 2 competition in the 2026/27 season, the ABA League j.t.d. Assembly has adopted a decision to amend the previously established competition system.

The decision of the ABA League j.t.d. Assembly dated September 10, 2026, is hereby revoked, and the 2026/27 ABA League 2 season will continue with sixteen (16) clubs divided into four groups of four teams each.

In order to align the composition of the groups with the newly adopted competition system, GGD Šenčur has been moved from Group B to Group A. Following this change, each of Groups A, B, C and D will consist of four (4) clubs.

A new game schedule for the 2026/27 ABA League 2 season has been prepared in accordance with the revised group composition and the adopted competition system.

The competition will resume on October 13, 2026, with the games originally scheduled for Week 3.
