Kansai Helios win the thriller vs. Podgorica and book their ticket for the Playoffs
Kansai Helios seized the last remaining ticket for the 2024 NLB ABA League 2 Playoffs as they defeated Podgorica in the final round of the regular season.

Kansai Helios seized the last remaining ticket for the 2024 NLB ABA League 2 Playoffs as they defeated Podgorica in the final round of the regular season.
In a thrilling ending, Kansai Helios have managed to defend their 1-point lead as Podgorica guard Milutin Đukanović missed the key jumper in the final seconds of the 4th quarter. Before that, it is worth mentioning that Kansai Helios managed to come back from a 7-point deficit in the in the last 5 minutes of the game.
Kansai Helios have therefore finished the regular season at the 8th place and they will play against Spartak Office Shoes in the quarter-finals.
On the other side, Podgorica have qualified for the Playoffs even before this game, while they will now have to wait for the match between MZT Skopje Aerodrom and Široki TT Kabeli to see whether they will finish the regular season at the 5th or at the 6th spot.
