National Cup: MZT Skopje Aerodrom beat Pelister-Bitola to claim the 2024 North Macedonia National Cup
MZT Skopje Aerodrom have won the North Macedonian National Cup for the 12th time in club’s history as they defeated Pelister-Bitola in the thrilling final – 62:60.

MZT Skopje Aerodrom have won the North Macedonian National Cup for the 12th time in club’s history as they defeated Pelister-Bitola in the thrilling final – 62:60.
The hero of the match was Eyassu Worku who scored the game-winning 2-pointer just 6 seconds before the end of the game. In the remaining time, Aleksandar Kostoski missed a 3-pointer for Pelister-Bitola.
The two sides fought a hard battle for 40 minutes. Pelister-Bitola had a 5-point lead at the halftime – 36:31, mostly because to their amazing offensive performance in the 2nd quarter in which they scored 27 points.
However, in the 2nd half, Pelister-Bitola ran into the defensive wall created by MZT Skopje Aerodrom troops as the boys from Skopje let their rivals score just 24 points for the entire 2nd half. What is even more impressive, MZT Skopje Aerodrom conceded just 8 points in the 4th quarter.
At the end, that great 2nd half defense and that key 2-pointer scored by Eyassu Worku in the dying seconds brought the the big win to MZT team.
