Podgorica win the thriller vs. Široki TT Kabeli

Podgorica scored a huge win as they prevailed over Široki TT Kabeli in a thrilling ending.

This was by far the most thrilling game of today’s schedule here in NLB ABA League 2 and it is hard to describe everything that happened in the last minute of the 4^th quarter.

Llet’s start with the 3-pointer made by Široki TT Kabeli’s top scorer from tonight’s game Zachary Nutall who tied the score at 73:73 right at the start of the final minute. However, already in the very next play, Podgorica’s top scorer from this match Daylen Kountz answered back by making his own 3-pointer to put his team back at a 3-point lead – 76:73.

And that was just the beginning of the thrilling events that happened in the final moments of this game as after that Široki TT Kabeli’s point guard Martin Junaković drained an AND-1 3-pointer! Junaković made the free throw after the 3-pointer to put Široki TT Kabeli in front – 76:77.

But, Podgorica had the anwer once again. Daylen Kountz once again stepped up for his team as he made the key lay-up to regain the lead for Podgorica – 78:77, with just 15 seconds remaining on the game clock.

After the time-out, Široki TT Kabeli had two chances to win the game, but they missed both of them. Firstly Martin Junaković missed a very difficult 3-point shot, while then Josip Jukić missed a 2-pointer after grabbing an offensive rebound.

Podgorica have therefore improved their score to 6-4, while Široki TT Kabeli dropped to 7-3.
