Game recap: Budućnost VOLI have once again prevailed over FMP Soccerbet in Podgorica.

This Saturday evening the blue-and-whites defeated the Panthers in Round 11 of the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season and this was their 9th consecutive home-court triumph against the Belgrade side.

Recall that Budućnost VOLI haven’t lost a home-court game against FMP Soccerbet since 2008.

Yet, we have to mention that tonight’s match could have gone either way. Budućnost VOLI have had the lead throughout most of the match, but FMP Soccerbet missed some chances late in the 4^th quarter to pull off a comeback. The visitors have managed to reduce the gap to 2 points, but Budućnost VOLI reacted instantly by making some big buckets that brought them back to the safe distance.

Budućnost VOLI now have the overall score of 8-3, while FMP Soccerbet are at 3-8.

Match-up in focus: As we have previously mentioned, FMP Soccerbet managed to reduce the gap to 2 points – 74:72, with three-and-a-half minutes left on the game clock. But, then Budućnost VOLI made probably the key 4:0 run to increase their lead to 78:72.

In the remaining time, FMP Soccerbet had once more chance to perhaps change the outcome of this game. At the score 78:74 and with less than a minute left to be played, Bojan Subotić had an open 3-pointer from the corner, but he missed the shot.
