Helios Suns beat Krka in the clash of the top and qualify for the Playoffs

In the derby of the top of the standings, a local clash between Krka and Helios Suns, the latter have emerged victorious and protected their undefeated record after 10 rounds.

This is the 10th win of the season for the Suns of Domžale in just as many games played. And while they have already secured themselves a spot at the Playoffs Tournament, they are now only one win away from securing themselves the top position after the Regular Season. On the other side, Krka have suffered the second consecutive defeat and they are now on a 7:3 record after 10 rounds, which still keeps them in a good position in the battle for the Playoffs, and also for one of the top spots after the 13 rounds of the Regular Season.

It has been anybody’s game from the very beginning and until the end, which is also evident from the final score. Helios Suns have entered the final minute with a 3-point advantage (77:80), but the key moment arrived just a few seconds later, as sniper Tadej Ferme hit a three-pointer to take his team up by 6 points. With less than a minute left on the game clock, it turned out that there was no chance for Krka to bounce back again afterwards.
