Sutjeska win the thriller vs. Podgorica at the start of the new season
Sutjeska have defeated their local rivals Podgorica in the opening game of the 2022/23 NLB ABA League 2 season.

The new NLB ABA League 2 season started with a real thriller as Sutjeska have defeated their local rivals Podgorica in dramatic ending.
The key moment in this match happened just 1 second before the end of the 4th quarter at the score of 63:61 for Sutjeska. Podgorica newcomer Luka Barišić had two free throws in the dying moments of the game to tie the score and force overtime, however he missed the first free throw, after which he had to miss the 2nd one on purpose in order to give some chance to his team to make an offensive rebound and score a 2-pointer.
However, Sutjeska player Vladimir Tomašević was the first one to grab the ball, therefore securing the win for his team. Tomašević got fouled along the way, with 0.1 second left on the game clock, and he scored one out of two free throws to make the final score 64:61.
