MZT Skopje Aerodrom win the thriller vs. Široki and qualify for the 2022 NLB ABA League 2 Final

MZT SKOPJE AERODROM - Široki 75:71 (19:20, 25:19, 16:17, 15:15)
MZT Skopje Aerodrom will play in the 2022 NLB ABA League 2 Final as they defeated Široki in a thrilling semi-final clash.
This also means that MZT Skopje Aerodrom have secured their spot in the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League season, regardless of the outcome of their game against Zlatibor on Sunday evening in the 2022 NLB ABA League Final.
Skopje will be celebrating this Friday night as their local heroes have won the most important game of the season so far. MZT Skopje Aerodrom prevailed over Široki in the match in which one single shot made the difference.
Unfortunately for the visiting side, that shot was the miss of one of their best players Ive Ivanov, who missed the lay-up just 2 seconds before the end of the game at the score of 73:71 for MZT Skopje Aerodrom. Ivanov missed a chance to take this game into overtime, while on the other side of the court Vojdan Stojanovski scored both free throws to seal the win for the Skopje troops – 75:71.
Vojdan Stojanovski made those two key free throws at the end, but it was his brother Damjan Stojanovski who was the man of the match tonight. Damjan Stojanovski was the top scorer of the winning team with 17 points, while he scored 8 out of those 17 points in the 4th quarter.
On the other side, Josip Bilinovac was the top scorer of Široki team with 20 points.
The big final of the 2022 NLB ABA League 2 Playoffs between MZT Skopje Aerodrom and Zlatibor will be played on Sunday, April 17 at 19:00.
