Ivanov brings Široki big win in thrilling finish over Helios Suns

In their third clash at the Sarajevo Regular Season Tournament, Široki have made the perfect score of 3 wins in just as many games, after prevailing over the Helios Suns in Sarajevo.

This way, Široki have now achieved their excellent 5:2 score after seven rounds and will be placed near the very top of the standings. They have also moved away from Helios Suns, which now own a 4:3 record after 7 rounds, but will remain placed in the upper half of the standings.

At the big break, Široki were still up by only a point (46:45), but as the second half began, Široki started dominating the court, and went on an 8:0 run at the start of the third period, which put them up by 9 points (54:45). This was the decisive push by the Široki Brijeg squad. Helios Suns fought back hard and did not only manage to cut the gap between the two squads in the very finish of the game to make their defeat look more decent, but even managed to tie the game with a few seconds remaining with the three-pointer by Blaž Mahkovic.

However, Ive Ivanov then stepped up to score the game-winning triple for Široki in the final second for the final score of 94:91.
