The 2021 ABA League 2 Playoffs to take place in Podgorica

The 2021 ABA League 2 Playoffs will be played in Podgorica, with the quarter-finals scheduled to start on April 19.

Taking into concern the offered conditions as well as the result achieved in the regular season, ABA League has decided to assign the organization of the 2021 ABA League 2 Playoffs to Studentski centar and the city of Podgorica.

We are convinced that Studentski centar and the city of Podgorica will be good hosts for the upcoming Playoffs and that they will exceed the extremely high standards set in the regular season by the previous tournaments’ hosts in Banja Luka, Sarajevo and Zlatibor. Also, we firmly believe that Studentski centar and the city of Podgorica will ensure that the Playoffs will represent the perfect ending for the ongoing season in which we will get the champion of the 2020/21 ABA League 2 season.

Also, due to the Covid-19 pandemic which prevented teams to play in full roster in some parts of the regular season and which prevented some teams to participate in some of the four regular season tournaments, ABA League has decided to cancel the 2020/2021 ABA League 2 Playout.

Therefore, all teams from the 2020/21 ABA League 2 season will have the right to participate in the 2021/22 ABA League 2 season, if they qualify through the national championships or receive a wild card.
