After the Zlatibor Regular Season Tournament, first this season in the ABA League 2, which has been a major success, the teams will be testing their strength at the Banja Luka Regular Season Tournament now.

Ahead of the tournament, that will be taking place in Borik Sports Hall, the representatives of the ABA League and the hosts Borac have spoken about the forthcoming tournament in Banja Luka.

Milija Vojinović, ABA League Sports Director:

“My special thanks go to Borac and Igokea, that has financially helped to renovate the arena, where the tournament will take place. This season we have decided that the ABA League 2 would be played in a tournament format. The first took place in Zlatibor, where four rounds took place, while in Banja Luka, three will take place now. The organization of such a tournament is extremely costly and it is secured that the teams have excellent conditions for their stay, practice and playing games. We hope that the Zlatibor story repeats and that we would witness good basketball.”

Milan Đajić, Borac President:

“For the past three or four years we have been working hard to bring such a competition into our town. I want to thank the management of the regional competition, that has trusted us to organize such an event and it is truly sad that there would be no spectators for well-known reasons, since it would make a true spectacle if they were present. During those three-four years we have established contacts and cooperation with lots of clubs and one of them is Igokea, that has done its best for Borac to be amongst the top teams of the region. I believe that we would warrant the trust as hosts. Banja Luka has always been a good jost and we hope that now it would be the same.”

Tibor Florjan, Borac General Manager:

“I wish to thank ABA League for giving us a chance to organize the tournament and we have managed to do it in a fairly short time. We hope that this tournament is even better than the previous one in Zlatibor, where everything was excellent as well.”
