Captain extended his cooperation with Široki
Even though he had several offers from abroad, captain Jure Zubac has extended his contract with Široki. The deal is agreed on one season.

“I am happy to be staying at my club and I am satisfied that we have reached an agreement. The last season was unfortunately interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but I believe that we could have finished it in a good way. In the ABA League 2 we have been playing above our expectations and we only lacked a bit of luck and justice to qualify for ABA League. However, I believe that with the roster that will change a lot, we would continue where we stopped and that the virus situation would calm down, so that we could have a proper support from the stands from our fans,” Zubac told after reaching the new agreement with his club.
Last season Jure Zubac has been averaging 7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in the ABA League 2.

Kapetan produljio ugovor sa Širokim
Iako je imao inozemnih ponuda, kapetan Jure Zubac produljio je suradnju sa Širokim. Ugovor je potpisan na godinu dana.
"Sretan sam što ostajem u svom klubu i drago mi je da smo uspjeli postići dogovor. Prošla sezona je nažalost prekinuta zbog situacije sa Covid-19 virusom, a mislim da smo je mogli završiti na dobar način. U ABA 2 ligi smo po mom mišljenju bili bolji nego što se očekivalo i falilo je samo malo sreće i pravde da se dohvatimo i prve ABA lige. No, vjerujem da ćemo u dosta izmjenjenom sastavu nastaviti gdje smo stali, u nadi da će se situacija s virusom smiriti kako bi mogli imati što veću podršku sa tribina od naših navijača", izjavio je Zubac nakon dogovora.
U prošloj sezoni, Zubac je u prosjeku postizao 7 poena i 4,9 skoka po utakmici u Drugoj ABA ligi.
