Split needed to win in order to keep up with the teams from the Top 4 zone. MZT Skopje Aerodrom needed to win in order to stay in the race for the 2nd spot, which brings the home court advantage in the semifinals. And both teams have fought until the last breath to achieve their goals... At the end, MZT Skopje Aerodrom prevailed in this big battle.
MZT Skopje Aerodrom triumphed against Split by 78:76, but only after going through a dramatic ending.
While being up by 78:76, the visitors had a huge chance to secure their lead on 25 seconds before the end, but James Woodard missed both free throws and therefore gave a chance to the home side to go for the win. However, Split failed to score any points in the remaining time. Firstly, Mate Kalajžić missed a 2-pointer, with 2 seconds remaining on the game clock, while then Mauro Veljačić missed a 3-point shot at the buzzer.
Split now have two wins less than 4th placed Dynamic VIP PAY, while MZT Skopje Aerodrom are tied with Spars in the battle for the 2nd spot.
