It’s time for another ABA 2 week!

It’s time for another ABA 2 week! The first games of Round 17 will be played on Wednesday evening, while some of them are very important when it comes to the Playoffs race.
Spars (11-5) are currently competing with MZT Skopje Aerodrom (11-5) for the 2nd place on the standings, while in order to prevail in this battle they simply have to win the Wednesday’s road game against Vršac (1-15). Vršac are the last placed team on the standings with 13 consecutive defeats in the season…
At the same time, Zrinjski (5-11) will host Borac (8-8) in Mostar. This game is not that important for the home team, as they can hardly reach the Playoffs, but it is of great significance to Borac as they are just outside the Top 4 zone. The squad from Čačak have scored just 2 road wins so far in the season, but this is the game they need to improve that away score in order to stay in the Playoffs race.
The derby of the day is certainly the match between Lovćen 1947 (8-8) and Sixt Primorska (15-1). Lovćen 1947 have slipped out of the Top 4 zone after suffering 4 consecutive defeats in the league, so they simply need to get back on the winning track as soon as possible. But, it will not be that easy, as they are about to face the top placed team in the league – Sixt Primorska, who have suffered just 1 single defeat in the entire season!
The last match of the day will be the clash between Rogaška (6-10) and Helios Suns (5-11). Despite the fact that neither team is close to the Playoffs zone, it is always interesting to watch the local derby. Therefore, expect a big battle in Rogaška Slatina.
