Round 16 begins on Wednesday evening, derby time in Čačak

The race for the 2019 ABA 2 Playoffs continues this week with the games of Round 16. Everything will start on Wednesday evening with 3 games scheduled to start at 19:00.

MZT Skopje Aerodrom (10-5) will host Zrinjski (5-10). For the home team this match has much bigger significance, as they are trying to finish the regular season at the 2^nd place in order to have the home court advantage in the semis. Currently, MZT are sharing that spot with Spars, which means that every game is quite important in this race.

Sutjeska (8-7) are clear favorites in the clash against last placed Vršac (1-14). The boys from Nikšić simply cannot allow themselves not to win this match, as they are right in the middle of this intense race for the 2019 ABA 2 Playoffs. Just take a look at the standings – There are 4 teams who have the overall score of  8-7 and Sutjeska are one of them… Did we mention that they are all sharing the 4^th place on the table?

The match between Rogaška (6-9) and Dynamic VIP PAY (8-7) should be quite interesting. Rogaška are playing extremely good at home court in this season, while if they win this match they will keep their Playoffs dream alive. On the other side, Dynamic VIP PAY are on a 4-win streak in the regular season…

The last game this Wednesday evening will start at 20:00 and it might be actually the derby of the day. Borac (7-8) will face Lovćen 1947 (8-7). Borac suffered quite heavy defeat last week in the clash against Sixt Primorska, so they now want to bounce back. At the same time, Lovćen 1947 have lost the previous 3 games in ABA 2 and they desperately want to end that losing streak. That’s why the game in Čačak should be quite exciting to watch.
