ABA League 2 Round 15, Thursday, 10.1.2018:
SIXT PRIMORSKA - Borac 97:71 (20:16, 26:25, 32:12, 19:18)
In Bonifika sports hall in Koper, two participants of the last season’s ABA League 2 Final Four tournament met. For the second time this season, Sixt Primorska have prevailed over Borac.
After 15 rounds of the ABA League 2 season, Sixt Primorska already have 14 triumphs on their record, four more than the second placed team and with seven rounds to go this regular season, they are in a favourable position of reaching the top of the standings as the regular season comes to an end. They just need a couple more triumphs – or cases where their main rivals would slip and suffer an unexpected defeat.
In the 15th round of the season, the league’s frontrunners have beaten Borac in a derby game, where they have been a better of the two sides throughout the game. They have led by no less than 14 points already with 2 minutes left in the first half (44:30). However, Borac fought back and with first half buzzer beater by Ilija Đoković, they have cut the deficit to 5 points by the big break (46:41).
But, in the second half, Primorska went on a rampage again – they won the third quarter with the partial score of 32:12 and easily brought the game to an end – with the final score of 97:71.
