The new season begins!
The first games of the 2018/19 ABA League 2 season are scheduled for Thursday evening.

It is here! The 2018/19 ABA League 2 season finally begins with the first games scheduled for Thursday evening.
Everything will start at Cetinje, where Lovćen 1947 will host Rogaška. Lovćen had a pretty impressive score at home court in the previous season, as they won 9 out 11 games in front of their fans. On the other side Rogaška squad are good enough to beat anyone in the league, so the season opener should be very interesting to watch.
Then we move to Skopje where MZT will play against Helios Suns. MZT Skopje Aerodrom finished the last season as the last placed team in ABA 1 and they were relegated to ABA 2, so their main goal is to return in the elite division as soon as possible. As far as the visitors are concerned, Helios Suns are the newcomers in ABA 2 and they want to leave a good impression at the start of the competition.
The derby match of Round 1 will be the clash between Split and Vršac. Split have high ambitions for the upcoming season and they will do everything they can to reach the Playoffs, while Vršac have formed a young team which can definitely play an important role in the 2018/19 campaign.
Borac finished the last season with a painful defeat in the ABA 2 semifinals at home court, while they will start the new season at the same place where they will host league newcomers Spars. Borac have formed a strong team and their primary goal will once again be to win the promotion to ABA 1. On the other side, Spars have signed some very good players during the summer and can make big things in the season to come.
The last game on Thursday will be the one between Zrinjski and Dynamic VIP PAY. The boys from Mostar have lost just 1 single home game in the entire 2017/18 ABA 2 regular season. But, Dynamic VIP PAY is always a tough opponent...
Many exciting games are in front of us and we can hardly wait for them to start. Let the new season begin!
