It’s time for Round 16 – The leader is coming to Rogaška Slatina

Another ABA League 2 week is in front of us!
This time we have three games scheduled for Wednesday and three more for Thursday evening.
The Round 16 will start with a big match in Skopje where MZT (11-4) will host Sutjeska (8-7). MZT Skopje Aerodrom, who hold the 2nd place on the standings, suffered a pretty heavy defeat against Borac in the derby match of the previous round, so they will want to get back on the winning track as soon as possible. On the other side, Sutjeska have dropped to the 5th place on the standings after losing the previous two games in the season, so they now want to break that losing streak and get back in the Playoffs zone.
Lovćen 1947 Bemax (6-9) will try to defend their home-court fortress in the clash against Široki (9-6). Lovćen 1947 Bemax have won 6 out of 7 games played in front of their fans, however Široki have won 4 out of the previous 5 games in the championship which meams that they are coming to Cetinje full of confidence.
In the last game of the Wednesday's schedule, Sloboda Tuzla (4-11) will host Helios Suns (8-7). Each team have scored per 2 wins in the last 5 rounds, so they will be looking to improve that score in this round.
The opening game of the Thursday's schedule is the match of the round – Rogaška (9-6) vs. Borac (13-2). Rogaška are currently holding the 3rd place on the standings and their dream is to qualify for the ABA 2 Playoffs for the first time in club's history. On the other side, Borac are sitting all alone at the top of the table, while their big win against 2nd placed MZT Skopje Aerodrom last week has boosted the team confidence significantly ahead of the rest of the season. You will be able to watch this game live on TV Arena Sport.
Spars Realway (3-12) will try to use the good momentum after winning the previous two games in the season to beat Split (7-8) at home court in Sarajevo. The good news for the home side is that Split have lost all 7 away games so far in the season.
The Round 16 will be closed with the match between two local rivals Novi Pazar (6-9) and Dynamic VIP PAY (6-9). The two teams have the same overall score, but the momentum is on the side of the hosts, as Novi Pazar have won the previous 2 games in the season, while Dynamic VIP PAY are on a 3-game losing streak.
