Helios Suns started the new ABA 2 journey with a home win against league newcomers Široki. Blaž Mahkovic with 22 points and Davor Konjević with 20 points led the purple troops toward the win this Thursday evening.
Still, what actually made difference tonight were the 3-point shots. Helios Suns made 11 three-pointers out of 21 attempts, while on the other side Široki scored just 4 shots from downtown.
A small comfort for the visitors might be the fact that Filip Kraljević with 24 points and Mateo Drežnjak with 18 points showed that this team definitely has the quality for the ABA 2 championship.
