Jovica Arsić is the new Borac head coach

Borac have reacted swiftly on the decision of Raško Bojić to resign from the head coach post at Borac and appointed Jovica Arsić to be the new boss of their senior team.

Arsić has previously coached Zdravlje, Lavovi 063, Vojvodina, Cherkasy and Lukoil Academic. He used to be Macedonia national team head coach and he led their squad at Eurobasket 2009. Jovica Arsić has won the EuroBasket gold in 2001 as the assistant coach to Svetislav Pešić with Yugoslavia national team.

Asked why he has accepted the offer of Borac, Arsić stated that the reputation of the club and the amazing fans of Čačak have decided: “Frankly, Čačak is a town of basketball. I have positive emotions related to this town and I respect Borac. I also had a chance to feel the atmosphere that the Čačak crowd are making in the hall next to Morava. It is truly unbelievable.”

The agreement between the two sides has been signed until the end of the season.

Novi kormilar čačanskog Borca je Jovica Arsić!

Čačanski Borac je nakon odluke Raška Bojića da se povuče sa mesta šefa stručnog štaba brzinski reagovao i odlučio se da novi strateg bude Jovica Arsić.

Arsić je u svojoj karijeri trenirao Zdravlje, Lavove 063, Vojvodinu, Čerkasi i Lukoil Akademik. Bio je selektor košarkaške reprezentacije Makedonije i vodio je tim na Eurobasketu 2009. Jovica Arsić je sa reprezentacijom SR Jugoslavije kao pomoćni trener Svetislavu Pešiću u Istanbulu 2001. godine osvojio zlato.

Na pitanje zašto je prihvatio ponudu čelnih ljudi Borca Jovica Arsić je izjavio da su renome kluba i neverovatna čačanska publika doneli prevagu: ,,Prosto rečeno, Čačak je košarkaški grad. Imam pozitivne emocije u vezi ovog grada, i poštovanje prema istoriji i renomeu Borca. Takođe, imao sam priliku da vidim i osetim kakvu atmosferu čačanska publika pravi u košarkaškom hramu kraj Morave. Zaista neverovatno”.

Ugovor između dve strane je potpisan do kraja sezone.
