AdmiralBet ABA League Round 26, Friday, 8 April 2022:

SPLIT - ZADAR

Where? Split Sports Hall, Split

When? 20:00

Story of the game: In the opening game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Round 26, Split will be hosting Zadar at home in their Split Sports Hall.

It’s a battle, that means more than prestige for both squads, as besides the fact, that they are local rivals, they are both fighting for an exit from the danger zone near the bottom of the standings. Indeed, the team that wins this clash this time, might be the one to finish the season above 13th place, which takes the team to the ABA League Qualifiers for the forthcoming season.

Historically speaking, Zadar have been a better of the two squads in their battles against Split, as they have won 8 out of 9 games against Split in Gripe in the regional league history. However, Zadar have lost 4 games in a row lately and Split only 1, while Split have also won 3 of their last 5 games in the AdmiralBet ABA League and Zadar only 1.

How will this game unfold? For sure it is impossible to predict!

Match-up in focus: For sure, the head to head battle, that will be in the limelight this time around, is the one between Shannon Shorter of Split and Justin Carter of Zadar. A lot depends on these two guys on the offensive end for both squads, as they are both the top scorers of their respective squads, with Shorter averaging 17.3 points per game and Carter 14.1. Who will score more this time and take his team to the win?

Head to head in the regional league: in total 4:15; In Split 1:8.
