Battle for the Playoffs - Široki vs. Sutjeska
It’s time for another ABA 2 week!

With just two rounds left to be played in the 2019/20 regular season, only one team (Borac) has secured a place in the Playoffs. That is why the upcoming two weeks will be very interesting here in the ABA League 2.
Round 21 will start this Wednesday evening, while in the opening game Lovćen 1947 Bemax (9-11) will host Spars Realway (7-13). By losing 2 out of the previous 3 games in the championship Lovćen 1947 Bemax have lost almost all chances of reaching the Playoffs and that is why this game is much more important for the visitors as Spars Realway are doing their best to move away from the bottom of the table. It is worth mentioning that Spars Realway are on a 4-game winning streak in the ABA League 2.
Sloboda (8-12), who are also trying to avoid finishing the regular season on the last place on the standings, will host Rogaška (10-10), who simply need to win this game in order to stay in the race for the Playoffs. It should be mentioned that Sloboda have won the last 3 games in the season, while Rogaška are on a 3-game losing streak.
Dynamic VIP PAY (8-12) will host Borac (18-2) in the last game of the Wednesday's schedule. This match is much more important for the home team who is trying to escape the bottom of the standings, while on the other side Borac have already secured the 1st place in the regular season and they can play this game without any pressure.
Thursday's schedule will begin with the match of the round! Široki (11-9) will host Sutjeska (10-10) in the battle for the Playoffs. Both sides have scored per 2 wins in the previous 5 rounds, so they are not really in the best rhythm. But, this match is more important that any of those previous 5. That is why both Široki and Sutjeska will give everything they have to win this game and make a major step toward the 2020 ABA 2 Playoffs.
Novi Pazar (7-13) are currently sharing the bottom of the table with Spars Realway, while this week they will have a very difficult task as they are about to host the 2nd placed team on the standings – MZT Skopje Aerodrom (12-8). While the home team need to win this match in order to escape the bottom of the table, the visitors need a win in order to seal the 2nd place ahead of the Playoffs.
In the last match of the round, Helios Suns (9-11) will face Split (11-9). Helios Suns are in a similar situation as Lovćen 1947 Bemax and their chances of reaching the Playoffs are very slim. On the other side, by winning 4 out of the previous 5 games Split have moved up to the 3rd place on the standings and they are very close of taking the precious Playoffs ticket. Perhaps they will take their place in the Playoffs already this week.
