Krka and Simon Petrov agreed to part ways

After several consecutive defeats and poor performances of Krka, a change has arrived at the head coach position.

Simon Petrov is no longer Krka head coach, after the team of Novo mesto have begun their ABA League season with two victories and three defeats in the opening three rounds, which puts them on the eighth place in the standings.

“The last results of our team have forced us to act. Simon Petrov is no longer Krka head coach. The club and coach have agreed to part their ways. I wish to thank Simon for his devoted work and results, that he had achieved with the team. With him on the bench we have made a swift comeback from ABA League 2. Simon is an will remain a legend ouf our club. We wish him all the best in his future coaching career,” club’s President Andraž Šuštaršič told, as he explained the decision.

43-year old Simon Petrov has taken over the Krka team in February 2017. The name of the coach that would replace him is yet to be revealed.

Krka se je sporazumno razšla s Simonom Petrovom

Po več zaporednih porazih in slabših predstavah Krke je prišlo do spremembe na trenerskem mestu.

Simon Petrov ni več glavni trener Novomeške Krke, potem ko je moštvo sezono v Ligi ABA začelo z dvema zmagama in tremi porazi v prvih petih kolih, s čimer se na lestvici nahaja na osmem mestu.

„Zadnji rezultati moštva so nas prisilili v ukrepanje. Simon Petrov ni več trener članske ekipe Krke. Klub in trener sta se sporazumno razšla. Na tem mestu se želim zahvaliti Simonu za vse njegovo delo, prizadevanja in rezultate, ki jih je dosegel z ekipo. Z njim na klopi smo se iz Lige ABA 2 ekspresno vrnili v Ligo ABA. Simon je in bo ostal legenda našega kluba. Na njegovi nadaljnji trenerski poti mu želimo vse dobro,“ je kadrovsko potezo pojasnil predsednik kluba Andraž Šuštarič.

Triinštiridesetletni Simon Petrov je sedel na klop Krke februarja 2017. Ime njegovega naslednika še ni znano.
