Wednesday schedule – Derby time in Čačak

This Wednesday evening brings us quite a busy schedule in ABA League 2.

Let’s start with the match between Rogaška and Vršac. Both sides have the same overall score (1-2) and they are both currently placed in the bottom part of the standings. However, whoever wins this game will significantly improve their position and will move closer the the Playoffs zone, which means that each side will be fully motivated to take the precious 2 ponts.

The next match is the one between Sutjeska and Split. Sutjeska made a really good start in the 2018/19 ABA 2 campaign as they have achieved 2 wins out of the previous 3 rounds. But, now they are in front of the biggest challenge in the ongoing season, as they are about to face Split, who is undefeated after the previous 3 rounds. The Yellow squad have scored all 3 wins so far in the competition and they want to keep the perfect score.

MZT Skopje Aerodrom are about to host Lovćen 1947. The home side suffered a shocking defeat in the previous round, when they dropped an 8-point lead in the last minute against Sixt Primorska. Therefore, they now want to get back on the winning path, but so does Lovćen 1947 crew, who lost the previous two games in the season.

The last game of the day is actually the derby match of the whole round - Borac vs. Sixt Primorska. Borac have scored just 1 win so far in the championship, so they really need to win this derby. On the other side, Sixt Primorska are at the top of the standings, with all 3 wins out of the previous 3 rounds. And we do not need to tell you how much a victory in Čačak would mean this team in the race for the Playoffs.
