Sutjeska and Vršac victorious

In the first round of the ABA League 2 Qualifying Tournament, Vršac and Sutjeska have celebrated victories, by beating Sixt Primorska and Široki, respectively.

In the second game of the day, Sutjeska have beaten Široki, after putting on an amazing performance in the second half.

The squad of Nikšić have been trailing by five points at half time, but have demonstrated a major comeback in the third quarter, which they have won by 13 points (24:11). Leading by 8 points at the last break, they have had a huge advantage before the final period and it turned out to be a decisive one.

In the end they have celebrated a victory with the final score of 79:76.

We are already used to watch true basketball thrillers in ABA League 1, while it seems that we will have similar games in ABA League 2!

In the opening match of the ABA League 2 Qualifying Tournament which is being played in Laktaši, Vršac defeated Sixt Primorska in 3 overtimes!

It was a truly incredible game in which both sides have had a chance to take the win until the very end. Eventually, despite scoring 18 three-pointers this evening, Sixt Primorska lost the match because of missing 3 crucial 3-point shots.

At the score 105:104 for Vršac, Nebojša Joksimović missed a three-pointer for Sixt Primorska on 24 seconds before the end of the 3rd overime.

Later on, Sixt Primorska shooting guard Mirko Mulalić failed to tie the score as missed a 3-pointer at the score of 107:104, while in the final seconds Nebojša Joksimović missed another 3-point shot, so Vršac stayed in front - 109:106.
